DIGIPAK Photoshoot

This photoshoot helped me to create what the final product for my digipak now is. I merged the images together in the final product, but before I did I used the drama room, again as it is where we filmed parts of the actual Narcissistic Cannibal video. I also got the idea od merging the images together before the actual photoshoot, so I brought in a speaker with changing different coloured lights which had sort of psychedelic patterns and I thought it might work in an interesting way when I merge it, exaggerating that feeling of "Delirium". I found out that worked quite effectively, but I will experiment with it in black and white in the end and use a 3D effect, and see which one looks better  in the end rather than the lights.

FINAL WEBSITE

http://petrovaborie.wix.com/noxa - here is a link to the final Noxa Website

This website can be used by fans and people who do not quite know Noxa. There is everything about her on it as well as merchandise and her newest albums. There is also access to social media and an option to register and get free things etc, just like an online loyalty card for fans. So it is really helpful and informative. There are separate sections for each bit of information the fans may need. In the home page, there is the Noxa logo and all the features for the pages. As well as this you can see a massive poster image of the new album and  the festival that she will be going to this summer (2016) with the official poster. On the second page of the tour dates, you can see all the concert dates that she is touring on and it even gives fans an option to buy the tickets on the actual website , so it is a really good way to sell tickets straight from the source, rather than external websites. There is an option for Music/Video, where fans can see all the new music that has come out and watch all the music videos and behind the scenes footage, which obsessive fans tend to do. The fourth page is just the gallery of images from behind the scenes or photoshoots that Noxa may be having off and on set, or in her daily life, on tours etc. The fifth page is a blog where updates of Noxa's location and tours and is just used as a daily diary where fans can see what Noxa is up to, kind of like twitter posts. The sixth page is the Official Noxa store. where fans can buy the newest merchandise, which is overprised as it is brand new and they cannot get it anywhere else unfortunately, so the reason for the high prices is because of the demand from the obsessive fans. There is also a lot of clothing they can wear for the tour, signed masks, and even her new album. The last page is the Noxa About page, where fans can see how she has started her career.

FINAL DIGIPAK

With the final digipak each page is connected using the same sort of colour schemes and 3D effects, as well as the title, but as well as this relates to the album name, Noxa's star image and the actual theme that she wants to convey through the use of these colour schemes etc.

For the first page of the digipak there is the name of the album and artist clearly displayed in the middle of the page. The font is relatable to the colour scheme Ive used, which again links with the concept of delirium. The reason why she has the traces of her face is to portray the out of reality experience and mindset. I have also put a parental Advisory sign, as there is explicit content in her lyrics. This makes it similar to a real CD cover.

The second page of the digipak, again follows the colour scheme and has the name of the album on it. This page contains the lyrics of her first songs and most popular song in the album. The background image is from the actual Narcissistic Cannibal video, so it relates to what it is supposed to represent.

For the CD cover I experimented with several different designs, but decided to go for the same colour scheme and splashed paint symbolising that destruction in Noxa's mind. I have also used the "o" in Noxa for the hole of the CD, which I got inspired by from several famous alternative Therock artists that did that such as VHOL.

The Forth page of the digipak is the back page which includes the logo for Shotgun Records, which is Noxa's record label, the copyright notice, a barcode and parental advisory sign again. These features make the digipak back cover look very professional and realistic. I have again used my own images from the digipak photoshoot and made it look quite abstaract for the background, maintaining that same colour scheme. The song list has tracks which also link well with Noxa's star image and with the album's atmosphere. The name of the album is also clearly displayed at the top.

Back cover

As Noxa's album is called Delirium I decided to use one of the initial digipak photoshoot photos and make it abit abstract. The background image is used is this one below :

The way I did this is by twisting the image sideways and adding a 3D black and white effect to it, to achieve this abstract looking image, which again relates to the out of reality feel to the album. I added the Parental Advisory sign, Shotgun Recordsa logo and a barcode to it. I also has the name of the album and the song list as well. The song list has titles which are also relatable to the music video and the star image Noxa would want to portray with this album. The whole album feel fits in together. I have also added a readable font and it doesn't disappear from the background as it is white on dark grey and doesn't have any patters that would make the font hard to read. There is also a copyright notice to inform the audience.

Album name

I have chosen the album name DELIRIUM, which means an acutely disturbed state of mind characterized by restlessness, illusions and incoherence, occurring in intoxication, fever and other disorders. As her first hit - Narcissistic Cannibal is very symbolical and surreal, I thought that it would be a good theme to use for her entire album. This is the final image that i will use for the front cover. The reason I made this the front cover is because the eye contact gives the audience a voyeuristic feel and creates tension in the atmosphere, but at the same time from her "shadows" we can see that she is infact not in reality but experiencing a surreal vibe or "Delirium", so i thought it would be appropriate to use this image.

Front cover Ideas

I made 4 different from cover designs and i am not sure which one to choose for the final cover yet, but these are some of the designs:

Digipak CD Cover

Shotgun Records Logo

This is the logo we decided to use for Shotgun Records !

Digipak ideas

The band called VHOL used the "O" for the circle in the middle of their CD, which I thought might be a good idea for NOXA, as it also has an "O" in the name, so I tried to create something similar using Noxa's name and logo...

Digipak Research

Digipak inspiration

Similar images could go in the Digipak for some of the covers as they are related to the actual music video and to the concept that noxa is trying to portray with the use of her lyrics and music.

Digipak CD ideas

I decided to try out some CD covers to see how they would look and tried to keep it simple, but straightforward. For the actual cover, which is not on the actual CD i would like something less abstract, maybe a picture of the bleeding rose or NOXA, but the CD cover should be something more abstract and artistic in my opinion.

Digipak Merch

In every single original Noxa Digipak, there will be a Noxa black and white mask, so only the true fans can have the limited edition mask, which only comes with the digipak and cannot be bought on its own. All the white features of the mask would be fluorescent and glow in the dark, so it could essentially be brought to Noxa concerts, signings etc.

Merchandise

As the target audience is 15-25, I have created the stereotypical clothing for an audience that age, so that the fans would buy it. There is merchandise suitable for both our male and female audience, such as a variety of hoodies, T-shirts, beanies and snapbacks with the Noxa logo.
Noxa Beanie: £12.99

Noxa Logo Snapback: £13.99

Noxa Logo Unisex Black T-shirt: £24.99
(Also comes in White)

Noxa Unisex White Hoodie: £39.99
(Also comes in Black)

Teens React To Noxa (Audience Research)

We thought it would be a good idea if we recorded how some people would react to the Narcissistic Cannibal first cut, and get their honest reactions and opinions on it. I think it was quite helpful to see which parts of the video the audience likes the most and the comments on how to improve it were effective as well because now we know what the audience needs in a music video and what they want to see in the future as it progresses with the editing. This was effective but as well as this we gave out some questionnaires for feedback from a larger audience between the ages of 15-25, which is our initial target audience to see what they think and how they would improve it. They were anonymous so their opinions would be more honest.

Bloopers

As well as the serious work that we put into making the music video, we also really enjoyed the filming of it and creating the different shots we now have. These are some of our failed attempts of shooting each scene...and there were quite a lot of those, so we gathered some together for the audience to see.
